Is that a blimp?

The dislike comes from these once-good tools degrading over time. Companies signed up when they used to be good, but now have to live with crappy experience (e.g. my experience dealing with Confluence wiki just today) because the cost of migration is quite high. That said, migrations do happen! 🙂

Interesting proposal. QQ: Do you see a way to adjust GOMAXPROCS on the fly? With In-Place Pod Resize feature going beta soon (🤞), this setting might leave upward resizes ineffective without restarting the container.

That's good to know! And yes, funny LHR experience y'day while making my way to the gate for boarding, they had blocked our path to allow a 'just arrived' flight to deplane and head to immigration. The arrival and departure corridors cross paths, so they have to manage it like a construction zone 😄

Was this a one-off (KubeCon driven) experience? Asking because I'm considering dumping the Delta Amex reserve card for Amex Platinum (and ditch Delta in general, and fly United instead)

I agree! We totally lucked out on the ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ weather! Now just waiting to get home and get jumped on by my golden retriever 😄

I'm game for mid-Dec KubeCon in Vancouver BC. Then it will be on the way to my ⛷️ destinations 😄

Yes. We got lucky with the good quality snow and low crowds!

That's a great shot! It is unusually warm here for this time of year.

ZeroTrust coupled with defense in depth strategy supplemented by good o11y will likely be the most practical approach to mitigating risks and limiting damage from such motivated malicious actors. I look forward to seeing TrustFabric open sourced for the #cncf community's benefit! #xzbackdoor

Reading through it, that's exactly what it is.. the poor maintainer was bullied into handing over control to the bad actors. OSS consumers/users need to better treat/support the maintainers or we may be in for more such Trojan horse moves..

It's a wild one indeed! Incredibly lucky that Andres Freund caught it when he did! IMHO, ZeroTrust + defense in depth strategy combined with good anomaly detection and continuous monitoring is probably the only practical option to mitigate risks, and contain any damage from such motivated actors!

Ok, so those exotic particles now understand eBPF? 😉
