If this story is new to you (or one you’d like to revisit) - come along!

In this post I’d like to show what was included in this development (at least in this specific iteration) and how this resort would have fit into modern day Long Beach.

While this proposed development wasn’t exactly a secret and its story has now been covered by countless articles, vlogs, etc., I have always found it fascinating and therefore decided to recreate the site plan (any images online are mostly low resolution) and dive deeper into the details.

Not officially at the moment as I can’t really commit to deadlines, but if you have something in mind feel free to DM me and we can chat

Illustrating this plan reinforced how incredible and ground breaking (literally!) this layout is. It arguably uses the terrain better than any coaster I'm familiar with (Lightning Rod is a close 2nd). I'm glad Alton Towers reinvested in this legend to keep it running for many more years to come.

Looking through the many images and videos online, I was reminded how amazing this land and coaster was. I'm a huge Potter fan and will always love Hogsmeade/Hagrids, but it is a bummer we had to lose this original well-executed non-IP land and a true dueling coaster.
