So I redrew Charming Disaster's Love, Crime, and Other Trouble album cover a few years ago and wanted to do Time Ghost's when it first came out. I never finished it, but I still think about it tbh and would like to. I have a very specific image of them looking over their shoulders in mind

also wip images. I already merge layers + mask to paint, but I usually do it in one layer. This was an attempt at masking different parts of the painting separately (the flesh and the leaves)
A rough rendition of the persimmon. It is conservatively lined (if you want to call it that, as there is no attempt to make it look good). There are gaps between the lineart but still act to block out the large shapes of the fruit. There is a rough underpainting, with yellow on the flesh and desaturated greens and browns on the leaves. A black and dark red stroke is on the right side to indicate shadow. Since the last shot, the persimmon has been tilted to the left to seem more balanced. A lot of the lineart has been painted over and more colors are introduced. The leaves have received more varieties of brown and yellow-green, while the flesh has received pops of orange and some slightly green areas. The shading on the persimmon is more fleshed out here. On the leaves, blocks of black and dark brown are used to indicate harsh shadow on the leaves. A gradient to off-white has also been introduced to the leaves. On the flesh, the shadowing has been extended to the back, upper portion of the fruit away from the slight source. A cast light has also been added. The persimmon is nearly identical to the rendered image, but without the background (which, at this moment, is just a light grey void). There are still traces of black lineart that havent been painted over and the final highlights aren't added, but other than that it is just about finished.

Similar to her concept art outfit, she wears a sturdy, two-toned gray jacket. Bright blue tag accents are on the upper part of the sleeves and the front, where the zipper would be. Around her neck is a bow with the same color gradient as the one in her hair. At her mid body, the jacket is tucked in to a waist-fitted ribbon. She has a final bow propped at her back. The skirt itself has three tiers of ruffles, with jellyfish-like spotting and patterns as it goes lower. It has a deep purple to sky blue gradient. Underneath bright teal bloomers are visible. Over her skirt seem to be bright teal ropes that coil around the top of her skirt and drape downwards like jellyfish tentacles. She wears bright teal leggings with vertical stripes. Her boots come up to her mid-calf and have the same sturdiness as her jacket.
