So fun fact originally I wanted to make this guy's hair green cause he's a massive Warcraft 3 druid reference BUT.. the santa beard is hard to work with dye wise.

Symbology and practicality. It screams 'Dark Knight' even when Loyce won't say it, and the heavy use of black is meant to represent that he doesn't fly the colour's of ant noble house or any nation.
The armour itself is good at keeping his insides inside whilst still being gothically 'ishgardian'.

Blizzard had a toy box approach to Legion since most of it felt like they had to fix how he was written in TBC before putting him away and moving on to worse things.

One of these days I'll get to convey it all in game, but the man's got sickly pale skin, dark heavy eye-bags, he's gaunt, facial lines, disheveled hair and sideburns.
He's in a constant state of looking like a tired mess.
