This one pissed me off. It had so much potential, but it really is just a horrid rip off of The Hunger Games. Which is still giving this book too much credit. I’m all in support for indie authors self publishing but please please have someone besides yourself read this beforehand. I’m begging 😭

For the first time in years I DNF’d a book. All I have to say is whoever thought sending a 17 year old in as an undercover doctor made any fucking sense should no longer work in publishing 🤦🏼‍♀️

I hate this book series with a fiery passion, but I only read it so I can have some authority when I tell people to please not give this horrible woman your time or money. Terrible writing, unlikable cast of characters, and a thoughtless plot with so many holes you could call it cheese and eat it.

There’s Always This Year by Hanif Abdurraqib (Nonfiction) 5⭐️: give this book 6⭐️ if I could. Hanif is a genius and will be remembered a century from now.Idc if you hate basketball this is about more than that. The experience reading this is nothing short of immaculate; this should be required reading

Shark Heart by Emily Habeck (Fiction) 5⭐️: good lord almighty this book is so phenomenal. Absolutely shredded my heart and then pieced it back together only so it could shred it some more. Great writing, GREAT characters, and overall such a perfect book meant for anyone and everyone who’s ever loved.

The September House by Carissa Orlando (Horror) 5⭐️: the best haunted house story I’ve read since Shirley Jackson. I love the topics of mother/daughter relationships and what it means to always be the “flexible” one in every relationship.

Rabbits by Terry Miles (Horror) 5⭐️: absolutely solid writing, great characters and dynamics, and a truly engaging plot. Great mix of science fiction and horror if that is your jam. Go in blind and enjoy!

Black Sheep by Rachel Harrison (Horror) 5⭐️: another auto buy author. I fucking love this woman, and her ability to write horror that is centered around women. Her shit is funny, creepy, witty, and always a great time. Never skip a Rachel Harrison book!

William by Mason Coile (Horror) 5⭐️: by far one of the most interesting premises for a horror novel I’ve read in a long time. It gets right to the point and has a great ending I never saw coming. Not super crazy either so good for non horror fans.

Clown in a Cornfield 3 by Adam Cesare (Horror) 4.5⭐️: I wrote a review for this on my page already so not much more to be said other than that this is a great addition to this series it’s always a great time!
