This is a fundamental misunderstanding and misapplication of the proverb. It was never meant to apply to the kernel, but rather to userspace applications.

Truck stops are used extensively by families road tripping on summer vacations. Have you never been in one? They are crawling with rugrats.
September 2, 2025 at 9:56 PM
We already have those. You just described truck stops along all of the interstate highways.

All those minorities who voted for Trump because they didn't "feel" Harris. How do you think they are doing lately?

This all or nothing shit from the Democrats has to stop or they will never win another election.

Have you seen beer prices lately?!

When do we get the multi-season TV series? Will this old man live to see it?

The only novel of yours that I started and never finished was Redshirts and I've read, and really enjoyed, most of everything else you've written, so maybe there was something to that?

The "Look at the rain! OMG LA is wasting water!" crowd is completely ignorant of what LA is doing in both water capture and conservation efforts.
April 27, 2025 at 5:33 PM
That is a silly statement. The only reason none of your water goes to the ocean is because the Colorado river is completely consumed before it reaches the Sea of Cortez. Los Angeles per capita usage is lower than Las Vegas at 70 gallons vs 89 gallons.
April 27, 2025 at 5:31 PM
Los Angeles has quite a few storm water capture programs.

But hey, I guess it is pretty easy to sit in Las Vegas and criticize water management in Los Angeles.

That's called a deadlock in software, and is perhaps the most difficult class of bugs to solve and fix.

He's not living in the church. The church is being used as an office. He still lives in the regular house he occasionally posts photos of over on the whatever blog.

This must be relatively common. I have great difficulty speaking questions to AI agents, and will fumble over words, having to restart multiple times, but I have no problem typing the same questions.

What are you talking about? There's literally no upkeep of a Tesla. No oil changes, smog check, etc...

I hate Musk as much as the next person, but the car itself doesn't deserve all the hate. For every person driving around in a Tesla, there's a MAGA driving a $80,000 truck.
March 12, 2025 at 6:48 PM
Look, Musk is a complete and utter fascist asshole, but a lot of the hate on the actual car is misplaced.

The myth going around that you can get locked in a burning tesla is fake. There are mechanical releases on the doors. It is inconceivable that you could own and drive one

Setting posts in concrete leads to premature rot. Much better to set in gravel to allow water dissipation. Done right, gravel will be as strong as concrete.

Fitting that the rep from Tulare County gets hit with an orange.
