Drawing from mind vs drawing from reference. I start to memorize shapes, proportions, and placement. Like it just clicked how the maxilla is tucked under the zygomatic bone.

The something goofy like teeth being shaped more like corn kernels rather than squares.

Little stuff like that is fun :3

Yes my nails were painted! My girlfriend and I went to an lgbt+ event last night and we got all dressed up. :3 Is this Burning Legion from WoW enough? A side view of the miniature. Golden Griffon is a citadel dry paint that’s really weird and chunky. i most likely didn’t use the paint correctly but still used it for the axe blade lol The backside of my miniature. Showing off the cape, behind the shield, and long tail bone. I did use the back of the shield to see how Hexwraith Flame would look directly on black, not the best but gave me an idea to add a layer on the cape before applying it.

Balthasar Gold for bone, Flash Gitz Yellow, then Auric Armor Gold for the shaft. Then Liberator Gold, Doomfire Magenta, and Abbadon Black for the shield.

This is more for me to remember what colors I used on what parts lol.
A miniature who had their legs tidied up from my messy application of Flash Gitz Yellow. I worked around some of the parts because I wanted to show that fire is burning from within the copper surface. Organic shapes mixed with hard surfaces make for an interesting design. This is a front view of an Immortis Guard, infantry of the Ossiarch Bonereapers. There’s a touch of Flash Gitz Yellow where the teeth are because I’ll eventually make it look more organic. The rest of the Armor will be Liberator Gold like the other model. Going to hit the shaft with another layer of FGY where the eyes are to make them pop. I’m glad I figured out what works with the dark redness of the shield. This is the model up-right to show what it looks like without a plain white background.

1st Morghast Archai, mostly done. Need ardcoat to gloss gems. :3

1st Immortis Guard next. I learned I can be quick and a little messy to fill in those holes with Yellow.

Comes out as a gross green and build it up to become more yellow.💀🩵
