Picked up 3 orders of biang biang noodles from Wild Ginger Streetfood in Alameda: Spicy Cumin Lamb, Spicy Hot Oil Seared, and Mixed Vegi. Brought to my folks to share. All delicious, maybe twice as much food as we needed. 5 stars, no notes #AutomaticNoodle

Interpretive sign saying Pickleweed Salicornia pacifica The name pickleweed comes from the plant's pickle-like appearance and salty taste. It grows in the low to middle tidal zones, where it is inundated twice a day by the tides. Pickleweed is the critical habitat for the endangered salt marsh harvest mouse.

These are last week
The Motley Crew that slipped onto a side trail before official ribbon cutting I love how they did the interpretive signs. This one is for the famous Salt Marsh Harvest Mouse Reithrodontomys raviventris The salt marsh harvest mouse is a tiny mouse that is endemic to the Bay Area. It is an endangered species whose habitat is threatened by the conversion of tidal marshes to other land uses. It lives mainly in pickleweed but also seeks shelter from the water of high tides in upland vegetation. Closed refinery, Mt Diablo wreathed in clouds, vegetation including some of the 31,000 native plants planted by volunteers Another interpretive sign Levee Breach In October 2021, the levee at Pacheco Marsh was breached and five miles of newly constructed marsh channels received natural tidal flows from Suisun Bay for the first time in decades. Thousands of native plants have been installed to help rebuild the habitats that provide a vital home for numerous endangered species.

Note that the shoreline is now further to the north than in the historical data.
