I talk about tech, politics, and whatever else catches my fancy. Do I really need a disclaimer that I work for Nvidia and that I don't speak for the company?
I'm shocked, shocked to find that corporations engage in corporate doublespeak.

I know you're being rhetorical, but too many people can also slow down a team by increasing communication overheads. Meta has grown rather unsustainably, as has most of big tech. In this case, however, I'm reading this as Zuck going Jack Welch.

We didn't argue about the topic; we just followed the data. The data allowed both of us to form a better understanding of the problem than we would have if we only argued our opinions.

A while ago, I disagreed with a colleague on a matter. We both had strong opinions on a matter. But here's the thing, everyone has opinions, some more wrong than others. I set up an experiment to collect data, which showed that my colleague was, in fact, right.

Obviously, I want to start with the assertion that the Turing Test was a big mistake. Alan Turing, while brilliant, set context for the last 80-ish years of us equating speech with intelligence. If only he had known of wisdom from a galaxy far away.
two people are walking through a forest with the words `` the ability to speak does not make you intelligent '' behind them .
Alt: Star Wars Episode I, where we meet Jar Jar for the first time. Closed caption reads, "The ability to speak does not make you intelligent".

Yubikey emulates a keyboard. I've had it enter random strings into chat boxes when touched. Turn that off in the yubikey manager app?

Pfft, my first interaction with a phone system used pulse dialling (and some used rotary dials). DTMF didn't come around until I was around 10, and it was so cool not to wait to punch in the next digit.
