I experienced the effects of this first hand when I applied for retirement benefits in December. It was supposed to take 30 days, but it took 60 days, and that was with phone inquiries that bumped me up. The agent there apologized, and said they have been backlogged for months.

Rare disagreement with you. Would like to see the Ds fill the seats with DOGE-fired people, in work clothes. Scrubs, Ranger uniform, lab coats, etc. Put faces on the numbers. Then Slotkin leads with details of impact of dismissals.
