Take care of yourselves, but let’s also stay mindful that real change often requires consistent, visible pressure. We can do both: prioritize our mental health and keep speaking out for what matters.

We need to keep our voices active and our communities connected. It’s worth considering whether this boycott might actually end up muting progressive voices at a critical moment. 🧵

At the same time, silence can sometimes hurt more than it helps. The organizations and people we’re boycotting can make back lost revenue quickly, and these fights for justice are marathons, not sprints. 🧵

I understand the desire for a #5DayBLACKOUT and encourage everyone to do what they need for their own well-being. This is going to be a tough week emotionally, and stepping away from screens can provide much-needed self-care. 🧵

And even back then Pres. Obama admitted it wasn’t the best and we’d need to keep improving it. After that it’s just been an uphill battle to protect it, let alone innovate on it…
