London or Bristol are about the same distance for me.

I was asked the other day for my top 5 gigs of last year. So hard to narrow down to just 5. The BA's were once again great live and great to see you once again

I would have to say Wilco up to Wilco the album they were great at moving forward in not sticking to a template. Have to say though that the albums since have been very patchy some having no memorable songs on them in my opinion. Son Volt have pretty much stuck to the template.

My wife has this album and I've not heard it in years. I will have to dig it out and give it another listen.

Loved it and the four guitar attack was used to great effect.

I've seen Bevis Frond twice in the past couple of years and he always delivers a great live set. Thouroughly recommended. It will be nice not having to travel to Walthamstow to see him.

His first solo album is essential listening.

When I first heard it I thought it was more like a Verlaine solo album.

When do you find the time to listen to all these releases? I struggle to keep up with artists I like let alone new releases.

This album will always be in my top ten albums. It's an album that I have to regularly put on and play from start to finish. You should review Adventure and the 1992 self titled album. People get it so wrong with Adventure because it is not MM but it is still a thrill to listen to

It's the glossy production that I think doesn't do it any favours. It does have some great songs on it.

They were superb. I never thought I would get to see Morphine songs live and in Coventry. Thanks for booking them.

So the current Mrs Pittaway tells me but I can't see their charm.

A band whose appeal I have never understood.

50 years old and still sounds great.

I hope I get to witness them live at some point.

Will send them tonight. Dave's sons have a band that seems to be doing well. They are called Keo. No idea where they got the name from 😃
November 3, 2025 at 8:26 AM
I can send them to you.

The Click Club was a regular hangout on a Tuesday night and I lost track of how many times I saw the Surf Drums. A friend and I used to end up chatting to Joe at their gigs. Last year Dave Kehoe sent me four Surf Drums demo tracks that Joe produced back in the late 80's.
