Hopefully it'll spur more Democrat representatives and senators to do more as well. Their messaging, at least most of them, seems to be pretty tepid this far.

I'm sceptical that they intend for there to be elections in 2026, let alone 3 years.

Rot in hell fascist pig!

In some states, federal funding is used/allowed but it only covers emergency services. It's basically there so that hospitals aren't out more money since they can't turn anyone away from the emergency room.

You clearly can't read and are incapable of understanding context. Get lost drama queen.

Don't bother with her. She's either lost or a bot. Quoted my post and claimed that I said she'd "pimp her daughter out to slave labor." She's just here to create drama. Everything that's wrong with the other platforms.

What the hell is wrong with you? For those seeing the post, read the context.

At no time have I said both sides are the same but neither has done anything substantial in avoiding what is happening now.

Get off your high horse, Katrina. Then maybe you'll actually get off your ass and do something.

People will change that view pretty quickly when they can't put food on the table for the family.

Overall, whether it be conservative, progressive, or neo as modifiers, they are all rooted in liberalism in the US. They are usually just describing a shift from left or right of whatever the modern era has defined as center. That "center" is definitely to the right of what liberal became after FDR.
April 3, 2025 at 7:39 AM
Before FDR, liberalism was even defined differently. The problem is that our current supposed liberal party doesn't actually operate in the way they claim using FDR as an example. Instead they operate closer to what it was redefined as under Reagan in terms of economy and ever growing disparity.
April 3, 2025 at 7:19 AM
Point being, what was considered liberal prior to Reagan and what we call liberal now are different things. Democrats claim to be liberal, but don't come close to say FDR or Carter. They claim the title but don't follow through in a meaningful way. Both parties capitulated to Reagan neoliberalism.
April 3, 2025 at 7:12 AM
No it isn't. Most Democrats and most Republicans operate on Neo Liberal ideologies born out of Reagan, especially when it comes to the economy and austerity measures making it difficult to access social safety net support. We do not have a Liberal party by any definition that existed 60 years ago.
April 3, 2025 at 5:50 AM
No! Liberals are not "the left" in the US. They are very much center right that adapted ideologies from Reagan. There are few Progressives in elected federal positions. The Democrat party has even puts road blocks up against some when they run against Republicans with similar center-right ideologies
April 3, 2025 at 5:46 AM
He's not wrong. The current form of neoliberalism was born under Reagan. Since then officials, Republican and Democrat, haven't done enough to reverse increased austerity and wealth inequality. Maybe slowed marginally under Democrats but never reversed even when they controlled the whole government.

Too late. Now what?

You sold us out!

It forces Republicans to act now. They will pass their budget with reconciliation anyway. Why give them six months to spin it as the solution to the problems they plan on quietly creating in that time? Make them own it now rather than in six months when the country is even worse off than it is now?

Anyone keeping eyes on the SEC? He'll gut that next, I'm guessing.
