Over a dozen bright orange brushstrokes appearing like tongues of fire emanate from a turbulent pool of bluish ink on the upper third of the page. The blue pool has energetic peaks spiking up from the top, made from a dry paint brush run through the pool of blue ink. Coarsely textured and speedy black brush strokes divide the page to form a slightly arching, horizontal division just about the middle of the page. A field of dark charcoal with the grainy white texture of the paper showing through occupies the bottom half of the page, giving a sense of two contrasting media used in this piece: the fluid and the textured. The blue shape above and the curved sort of horizon in the middle give a slight sense of arriving at new lands, like a coastline but with mysterious waters, and tongues of fire on the horizon.

Kind of an artsy meme, TRUTH TEST (I wanted to see what it was like to erase the truth) 😊

NIGHT DRAWING

Black charcoal weaves accross the white page in dense, somewhat random abstract shapes, almost completely black towards the top of the page which resembles something like a night sky, as several light abstract shapes in the bottom half form a foreground. The picture displays a great sense of visual depth despite being mostly dark, giving a sense of just barely making out forms in the midsts of a landscape at night.

BLUE FLARE, ink on paper, 2023
Black and blue ink merge together about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the page into a dark and chaotic series of shadow-like shapes with fast-moving wisps of brush marks extending from its top and bottom, evidence of its quickly painted process. A more transparently painted almond shape above it resembles a flame of blue with highlights of orange in its center.
