Here are 4 players off the top of my head that we’d have had to sell immediately if we had to pass judgement after 2 starts: Pickford, Baines, Coleman, Fellaini. There’s no benefit to judging a young player so quickly. Let’s back him and if we turn out to be wrong at least we can say we did our bit.

Perfect example of the kind of things we’re always up against in this fixture. Thing is if these kind of things ever happened the other way round you’d accept it, but they never do.

There’s nothing they hate more than even an ounce of positivity around Everton. Give us more shit the better we are and barely say anything the years there was no hope around the place as that’s exactly where they want us. We’ve needed some of them 3 positions for over 3 seasons. I understand not wanting to be seen to pay over the odds for players but look at what average players have been going for this summer. There comes a point where you have to accept it’s a sellers market and pay the money if you want quality

Think it’s still a bit early to go on this one. I’d imagine he’d still be available on the last day of the window. He should be a last resort in my opinion if we’re still short on numbers.

Really like this kind of signing. Someone we don’t really know anything about but provides much needed cover in a key area, relatively inexpensive but could develop into something.
