Morning 😊 Finally set up new heated laundry airer yesterday - quite a faff getting everything on it tho so I can see myself still mostly using the radiators! Very rainy and wet here, think I’ll light the stove and do some reading. Books read in October in pic:

I know, it must be uncomfortable! Her tail is the size of a whole cat and I think she only grooms it herself 😆

Morning 😊 No sign of (or word from) washing machine engineer yesterday *sigh*. Very tired yesterday and today, just a bit stressed I think, nothing urgent to do so will have a couple of quiet days. Didn’t get much reading done at the beginning of July due to the tennis but caught up later:

Wow that’s great to know! I’ll need to try it, and will make sure that it’s olive oil I use. My matted monster rarely looks sleek, more like someone backcombed him then dragged him through a hedge backwards, so that would be a nice change 😆 Pic of said boy (Jupiter) below

Morning 😊 Heard lots of loud twittering outside my upstairs landing window yesterday, sneaked up tans peeked out, and saw baby swallows! They spent ages trying their wings out on short flights before finally all flying away. Didn’t manage to get a pic of them all at the same time.

Reverse image suggests this is an Asian hornets nest, does anyone know what I should do with it or who I should report it to? I’m in Scotland and it’s in our greenhouse. Husband says he saw what looked like a big black bee going into it.
If anyone knows it’s something different do please say!

Morning 😊 Cassie slept upstairs for the first time last night - she had been sleeping downstairs on a cat tree til now but was upstairs on my bed after playing so just left her there. Was prepared for chaos but she was good as gold! I may have been lulled into a false sense of security 🤔

Morning 😊 Sadly, my cat-loving friend did not meet Cassie yesterday as Cassie (along with Jupiter and Titan) fled upstairs and refused to come down until she was gone 🤦🏻♀️ Thankfully Teddy came and said hello, so she wouldn’t have felt too neglected.
