Will try to do the sci-fi thing:

The Expanse saga by James S.A. Corey (pen name, 2 authors) is very good: it has good, internally consistent setting, enjoyable characters, interesting and quite relatable political plot. Also has a couple natural stopping points if you ever get tired of it.

If the goal is to collect the sympathy brownie points with overreacting internet sillies, then yeah. But that doesn't get you anywhere.

Like, seriously, trying to win public sympathy battle when the matter is discovering (or revealing) the truth is silly for a multitude of reasons, both pragmatic and moral. Saying "I'm lawyering up, talk to you later" is perfectly valid and should not be treated as admission of guilt, THAT is stupid

His response is exactly _THE_ correct way to treat the situation if he believes that it is a matter that should be taken to court (i.e. he knows or at least genuinely believes that he did not do what he was accused of).

Curious whether people who were so vocally gloating initially will post something now.

Wait, is that where I get familiarity with Kai from?

Again, if I need to spend more time giving Copilot information, I'm not saving any time at all. Typing out code is not a hard - or even most time-consuming - part of programming literally anywhere I'd be able to work without blowing my brains out.
February 17, 2025 at 7:36 PM
That's the thing, it doesn't do it with any reasonable degree of accuracy if your codebase is at all complex or not using the exact default tooling that'll get you 150 million hits on a "how to create a repository/DAO <libraryName>" google search.

Aetherdrift is a bit of a lost cause for me because thematically it was (I sincerely hope) something that was developed before WotC got the memo that audience had enough of gimmicky sets just perusing existing character names.
February 17, 2025 at 7:25 PM
I tried using Copilot with Intellij plugin (so I assume it's passing decent amount of code as context) and it's been utter shite to a point where the ONLY problem it could consistently solve was, and I mean it, "I'm too lazy to type this". Neither quality nor speed improved.

It makes sense, it's just that it making sense doesn't help those who are more interested in Magic's in-universe products. If anything, it makes it feel even worse sometimes.

If you're 5X more productive with it, you're either extremely unproductive in the first place or you're doing EXTREMELY routine easily copypastable work all the time

I think it might have been a limited release and you're better off checking on Ebay lol

It exists though? They did physical deluxe editions.

So yeah, even though within constraints of your logic I have full rights to be critical of Nicole, I'm saying: this isn't really helping, neither does the "oh maybe you're a transphobe" line of defense. Sincerely, someone who donated to Trans Lifeline and argued for trans and wider LGBTQ rights.

"If you respond to this competitive MtG drama and haven't responded to that one, you're wrong" is a really poor, I'd even say actively bad faith defense here.

And if that's the case where Stanley (IIRC) got DQ'd after throwing that tantrum, god did I criticize the guy a lot after that.

I am a simple man, I just want a Rhystic Study from those WOE boosters.
