#ArtAdventCalendar - sometimes I don't have to bust out the triangles and rulers to scratch an isometric itch, sometimes a doodle will form on post-it notes at my work desk instead! Another old one, but I'm beginning to feel the itch to draw something new soon 😅

Ok; going to try a little bit of #ArtAdventCalendar - I have nothing new, I dabble from time to time as a meditative thing when I have the time, so nowhere near as prolific as some. So I'm just going to dig through what I've got to hand from years gone by to begin with :)

Spray day! Lovely bases from that there @fenrisgames.com - the models these are for aren't here yet, but I do love painting bases separately from the models anyway 🙂

the damage wasn't too bad but it was an old car, insurance company weren't interested in repair work :) it was one of those 'inside lane becomes the outside lane becomes the exit' - in this pic, I was where the black corsa is, the crashing car in the lane to the left (blue car lane, but alongside)

I had so much fun building this, that I started making a little sibling to join it... 😂 I had to stop myself doing too much, since I only had enough time to get the one painted but I'll get this one finished over the next few weeks.

...finally tiled the other side of the roof last night; and glued the lower building to the upper this morning - ready to receive a base later on today if I can find the time (and er... the MDF I've got knocking around somewhere)

...finally tiled the other side of the roof last night; and glued the lower building to the upper this morning - ready to receive a base later on today if I can find the time (and er... the MDF I've got knocking around somewhere)

Made the chimney, made a mark on the roof where I roughly wanted the chimney to go, completely ignored the mark and covered the whole side of the roof in tiles. Sigh. It was recoverable, I pulled 5-6 rows of tiles off and stuck the chimney where it needed to be!

Tried to make that lower building a little more visually interesting, so again, making use of the foam bricks (yes, I butchered the building) I tried some damage. Made a chimney by slicing the edges off of the foam bricks and sticking them around a small card structure.

If I never see another coffee stirrer, I'll die a happy man. Turns out I didn't take many pictures of the process of creating the windows, or the coffee stirrer trim (for want of a better term?) but this was the first time it started to look like it's all coming together.

Went to Krakow with the wife earlier this year and our hotel was awash with posters; I admired them every time we went in or out, and only took a photo of my favourite on our way out to the airport 😂 wife just thought I was weird 🤷♂️
