I work at a solid waste transfer station and push entire front loaders of food from grocery stores into a trailer to be shipped to landfills, at /minimum/ 8,000 pounds twice a month. Your statement is absolutely the saddest truth in all of this.

That is EXACTLY the attack. This was a crucial and pivotal moment in history and the oppressors are pissed that it represents the possibility (and REALITY) of people taking a stand. Same reason you wont hear about the Deacons of Defense and Justice in any of the history books.

As if the system isn't the problem in the first place. It ain't broken, if yall are shocked, you ain't been paying attention. Forfeiting empathy won't change a damn thing. You can't fight hate with hate and it's time we wise up and rise up. They've had the same play book for decades now. Why do we?

Those who support this regime have been indoctrinated to do just that since before Reagan. They'll tell you things like unions are bad and trickle down economics work.. even when evidence suggests otherwise. Just as all of those who believe in American mythology think the system is NOW compromised.

I will say interacting with someone who uses faux news as a "true and real news source" is much like a cheese grater on your nerves, but underneath all that ignorance and hateful ideology is a human being. Maybe not a brilliant one, or one who exercises a lot of critical thinking, but a person.

I agree. Othering and dividing amongst ourselves for decades has been the agenda, and playing into it only weakens our base. We don't have to agree, hell we don't even have to like each other, but we do have to band together. This isn't left or right, this is the bottom versus the top. Simple.

No, unfortunately the only "relief" bill brought forth and passed was yet another power grab to strip the governor of oversight. The people and towns and entire counties that were hit the hardest are still ravaged without any relief in sight.
