The most alarming thing of this budget is the Conservative response, hidden behind the aggressive bullying. Effectively look what Truss did and the impact it had on the economy and then listen to what their MPs are saying. Write it down, it’s crash the economy of bingo!

Unbelievable isn’t it. With the new devotion to “Christian” belief by certain quarters, the churches will be rammed with St George waving congregations, banging their fists on the pews about stopping immigration. Just got to hope the Vicar doesn’t buy iced fruit cake…….

The first one was the wrong on field decision for me. At those speeds I can’t see how you can be 100% certain that wasn’t going down leg side/hitting.

Got to be NOT OUT with those margins and let the bowling side review it. In real time, I just can’t see how anyone could have assessed definitively that was hitting.

I thought I was reasonably good at flags of the world but that one has truly stumped me!!

It’s also inexcusable that an update went out on the Club website not mentioning this statement, there is complete silence on social media (I’ve not signed up to Discord tbf). All under the umbrella of the newly elected Chair promising transparency. It’s not a great start for this DTB.

DTB members are Directors of the Club. There are strict rules around being a Director. There is no point in avoiding the issue and potentially the same issue arising in the future. We seem to have a de facto position of not being transparent and open in comms and saying too little too late.

And the switching to Discord from ProBoards hasn’t been done in a manner of an organisation that wants to encourage engagement/discussion and membership participation.

It is a complete mess tbh. It isn’t actually a huge surprise, if you were aware of some of the previous fudges. Being transparent without being humiliating would have been possible. More questions arise from non disclosure, than there should be.

It’s another classic example of incredibly poor comms. Saying too little is as poor as saying too much. The membership deserved more here without saying too much.

We are really looking forward to it and celebrating with those closest to us, it’s certainly become real now that Stembo has asked if there will be real ale!
