Grateful to the folks in my state who made this happen. However, in my experience CVS does not stock the 1.5" needle recommended for IM injections for larger folks, as noted in this CDC chart. If this applies to you, consider seeing your doctor instead if you can. www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp...

This is to ensure that the vaccine reaches the deltoid muscle of the arm. The chart's header also advises that "clinical judgment should be used when selecting needles to administer injectable vaccines."

These are amazing! My own favorite photos from Opening Day include these from 2015, when Mookie walked, then stole second--and immediately realized that with the extreme shift for Ortiz batting, there was no one covering third. I love both his fierceness and Escobar's helpless "Ah, hell" expression.
