Family guy, retired MIT techie, political junkie, Rockefeller Republican / Kennedy Democrat from the days when you could be both
And only if you're not at fault. You can't use your auto or home liability insurance on yourself

Thank God you got injured today and not after the first of the year when your ACA insurance expires.
November 17, 2025 at 2:45 AM
We need only go back to pre-ACA days to find millions being scammed into wasting their money on insurance that covered nothing.

They should be in the Black Sea supporting Ukraine

Tariffs are taxes, and even these highly misleading statistics bear that out. The reality is much much worse. The median family saved almost nothing on taxes, while the top 1% got the tax cut benefits. And new healthcare costs are not yet in the numbers.

Statutory rape is rape, regardless of the print size. And a 14 year old is a child by any measure.

In Parliamentary governments, this would trigger a no-confidence vote, which I believe is a useful tool. This is about changing the public face of Democratic Party leadership. No leader or committee chair should be over 70, and no one over 70 should run for election or re-election.

Perhaps you're right, but once history is taught, it needs to reflect the truth. So Lincoln and Washington and Pilgrims' Thanksgiving are legit topics for elementary schools, but even then, things like Columbus Day start to wander into areas that need to be explained in context, at least.

It's history, and all those videos documenting the day are out there. Just like slavery and Nazi Germany, you can't erase the massively documented facts.

The discharge petition's purpose is not to release the Epstein files but rather to force a House vote to release the files. Of course, every Member will be putting their name to their vote, which is the painful part, aside from what the files will reveal.

Sorry, but that is not a nuclear explosion, fission or fusion. This looks like a typical detonation using standard explosives with the accompanying shock wave.

$2000 won't cover one day in an ICU, not even an Emergency Room visit for, say, a broken leg. For those millions who will no longer be able to afford any health insurance, remember what the Magats did to you, and the complicit 8 who let them get away with it. Tim Kaine, especially, shame on you.
November 11, 2025 at 5:22 AM
Any bets on whether the ACA tax credits will ever come to a vote in the house?
November 10, 2025 at 2:32 AM
Any action that extends funding on a different timeline than ACA credits is capitulation. No chance any ACA vote survives if this happens. Any Dem that votes for this should be primaried and immediately booted off their committee chairmanships.

Why didn't the questioning attorney enter the video into evidence? If you want to nail these guys, you need to bring this information into court. Whining about this on Bluesky or social media or MSM gets you nowhere.

No soup for you!

Too tasty to waste.

Rotten tomatoes would be my weapon of choice, but maybe I'd get sued for trademark infringement.

It's an indictment on that court that this case wasn't thrown out on the merits, or lack thereof.

Since the glaciers withdrew, anyway.

Sounds like the $US 200 per year registration tax for EVs in Texas... already in force!

Just in time for Thanksgiving

And maybe the donor money to pay these bills really isn't there.
