The Boston Globe tried to tone it down, but it still could use an edit. 1st picture from yesterday, 2nd picture from this afternoon.

And 'saved' is perhaps the wrong term. All of that money has been chewed up by car emergencies (rural areas do not have public transport), home repair emergencies, and things like groceries.

I soft deleted my account early in 2025, and it took some time before I stopped reaching for my phone to just scroll on it. I absolutely miss getting information from my small town and local businesses, but omg the money I've saved by not seeing ads all the time! Real catch 22.

Alternative: cider donuts fried up in the wrong temperature oils they're too greasy and heartburn inducing. Served piping hot, of course.
