Little sister who has fallen in love.

Little sister who gets more and more used to feeling big brother inside of her. Little Sister who still cries and begs, but no longer means any of it. Little Sister who pushes back against each thrust, guides her brother's hand, teases him until he can't control himself any more.

Sisters in matching black dresses, bringing steel and flame behind them. Sisters who would sooner end this world than let this world end them. Sisters whose hands shake, whose hearts ache, whose tears still flow freely. Sisters who are tired, but keep fighting nonetheless.

Little sister who protects her shine, hoping she can be bright enough to guide big sister through the churning waves and blade like rocks.

The morning comes highlighted in pain. Heads screaming, stomachs a cauldron of hate. But they kissed just as they always had.

"I slept great," Big sis says with a downturned smile.

Little sis has already been awake. The sounds of her drunk of a sister violently throwing up water and acid had already stirred her.

She listens as her sister sputters in her sleep, mewling like a dying animal who's too stubborn for its own good.

She wants to crawl into the couch with her, but it's so small, and her drunken sway would surely wake little sister.

Instead, she sits on the floor, head as close to her nightmare cure as it can be.

Instead big sister gives her a lingering kiss, tells her to be safe. Little sis begs her to come with, but big sis just gives this sad smile.

"Someone's gotta take care of them." It's the only answer she gives. Little Sister leaves alone, hoping someday maybe the fighting will stop.

The night she leaves she gets caught halfway out the window. Big sister came to check on her because little sister usually comes to her room when fights happen. Little Sister is wide eyed, scared, tears in her eyes as she looks for any reason to stay, practically begging big sis to ask her to stay.
