Oh yeah absolutely. New Vegas is my favorite but I started with 4 and I don't think I'd have gotten into the others nearly as easily without it.

Not as related to the vanilla game but FO4 has a crazy good modding scene on that new engine. Easily the biggest advantage it has for me.

That's valid dude. Sure New Vegas is mostly the fan favorite but "in every form" isn't really doing FO4 justice I'd say it does a lot of things much better than New Vegas. I liked FO4's world way more and I get why a lot of players would prefer the simplification of the RPG elements.

If you're on windows go to C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps and mark appmanifest_{steamid}.acf as read only

There may be something more convenient, but this worked for me while whatever means steam claims to offer did not.

I swear there was some dialogue about that. I think maybe with Saverok. I don't remember the details exactly but it was definitely rather gruesome. 😓

It only lasts a couple of hours but I love Purrgatory. The game is mostly getting to know the characters so I think it fits your criteria. I think the Screwdriver Railcannon is great. I have Electric in my first space for railcoins now but for a while I only used screwdriver and if I need to heal it's still my go to. But yeah you're on your own for the slab marksman. 😆
