refuge from the bad place
I would argue the entire holy grail of ABC’s 04-05 home run (Lost, Grey’s, Housewives) would be better off with the later established 15-18 episode order.

and four very high quality seasons as well.

When movie actors (Kevin Bacon, Viola Davis, Taraji P. Henson etc) came to broadcast and the everyone was freaking out about them only doing 15 episodes instead of the regular 22, it made sense watching their shows because those premieres would struggle to fill out a standard 22 season order .

To be fair, Kate Bush was actually played on top 40 and alternative/rock radio in 1985, it's not completely ridiculous that Max would be into her.

BBC America did come on as an American producer for Broadchurch during it's later seasons so it was Primetime Emmy eligible for its second & third seasons (never nominated though due to a quality dip) whilst the series itself and Olivia Colman won International Emmys for its first season in 2014.

Would also include The Office UK and Broadchurch as prior examples of this as well, both huge hits when they aired on BBC America in the US but no US involvement despite winning other US based awards (The Office with the Globes & Peabody, Broadchurch with TCA & Peabody).

It’s a top ten hit in the uk, peaked at #8 the second week of release.

Funfact: that now makes Allen only the 5th British woman to have at least one top ten single in the UK, in three different decades, following:

• Shirley Bassey
• Lulu
• Kate Bush
• Adele

The Thanksgiving Kiki from Glee with Sarah Jessica Parker as Anna Wintour and drag queens seems like fun.

Isn’t he still a fairly popular celebrity? You don’t become a long running coach on The Voice without the general populace having warm feelings towards you.

That’s still how a solid chunk of people still see RDJ, every co-worker I’ve had born in the 1970s can’t believe people actually like him as a actor or that he’s an Oscar winner. To them he's still in the basket as Gary Busey, Charlie Sheen, Tara Reid etc.

Munch and Feelin U were fairly acclaimed too as well, especially amongst hip hop heads.

Really impressed that a six year old Carole King managed to write Lush Life.

Is it because it’s purely an American thing? Halloween and Christmas as holidays (as well as music) just travels better globally thanks thanksgiving. Most non-us folks grow up with Halloween & Christmas as little kids, whereas Thanksgiving is an abstract thing from episodes of Friends.

Love that the video that tangentially features the breakthroughs of both Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo, on the same day as "Wicked: For Good"

why is the chorus performed like a pub sing-a-long, why is there so much drums, why is there singing in a tone so jingoistic.

Someone on TikTok said she’s popular because young white audiences haven’t actually seen a white popstar with actual choreography and rhythm in a long time.

I haven’t properly listened to the rock categories outside of the two Hayley Williams songs nominated, is that rest of the field really that bad?
