Yeah, seeing them live would've been awesome. I did get to see Greg Kihn, The Sons of Champlin, Tower of Power. I even got to see Santana play at a high school gym/auditorium before the band got big. It was a great time to be a young person in the Bay Area.

I have their first two and this on vinyl, Remote Control on CD. I grew up in the SF Bay Area, so I've been a fan for a while.

Remote Control is my fave Tubes record.

It's November and last night I realized it's time that I played with the D-Lux 4 and toy Kaleidoscope again.

It's a fun combo and I'm thinkin' monochrome this time around.

It's early proof that I've always had a thing for patterns and shapes.

My memory is mush, but I recall that I traded that camera for Michael's Lyle acoustic guitar after my enlistment ended.

This is a photo from the mid-70s.

I was still in the military. There's a picture of me on the roll that one of my friends took. So young.

I couldn't tell you the film with certainty, but it's probably Tri-X. The camera was a Yashica SLR that I purchased on base. It came with a 50mm lens.

Hibiscus, Geranium, Vinca, and Petunia last a little longer into Autumn, but once we get our first freeze, that's it. It won't be long before that happens.

The mornings have started to get a little chilly lately, down to mid-40s, but the afternoons are still warm.

We could use a lot more rain.

Taken March 12, 2023. One of the early big and beautiful Livin' Easy blossoms from that year.

Spring is so short in Central Texas, and Fall is a bit like Spring part 2, without the new growth. Summer just drags on and on.

And in the heat of Summer, roses suffer.

I know this shot is all kindsa' wrong, but I love it.

Awful composition, crooked horizon, a little blurry, and the pup's feet are cut-off. But the look on her cute little face just steals my heart. What a sweetie.

It's a shot from a mid-September 2019 morning stroll around downtown Austin.
