Stage 2: Speed paints are done. I'm pretty happy with how these came out. The Turkina was a pain though, with that big, flat forehead. 😅

Next step is detail and then a varnish before I put on the final touches.

Thought I would document my painting process a little better for my Jade Falcons. Here's the dry brushing step done. #battletech #minipainting
Battletech miniatures after being primed black and dry brushed gray. I use a cheapo makeup brush for this step because it gives good coverage and doesn't ruin a nice one. The same minis after dry brushing white. This really brings out the detail and makes them pop before I apply speed paints. I love this step because they look like little statues.

When I wanted to paint house forces, I chose Davion first, and then realized they needed an OPFOR. So then I chose to paint Kurita, but kinda fell in love with painting the Sword of Light in the process lol.

Now I'm planning a Capellan and Lyran force as well. So many mechs to paint!

My first faction was a Merc company that I played in HBS Battletech, Lion's Pride. After that, I started FedSuns, DCMS, and Diamond Sharks. I mostly go based on what I think is cool, and I try to paint stuff in different colors to give myself a bit of a challenge.
