#rhelmolkot This is SUCH an old pose but I still really like it!! Rhel began as a Paladin and after a 2 expansion break as mainly a Dark Knight he finally picked the shield back up again in Endwalker. All he wants in terms of knightly ideals is to protect people as best as he can.

You willin’ to accompany us, Vince? Vincent frowned. “I wasn’t intending to stay much longer.” “Call it a favor for me, your good ol’ pal!” Cait said. “C’mon, won’t you tag along? Make sure we aren’t torn apart by beasties? Reeve’s too proud to beg, but I’m not!” “Don’t.” Vincent deliberated, and then shrugged. It wouldn’t take too long, and he definitely didn’t want to hear Cait Sith begging for help, an embarrassing prospect for everyone involved. “I suppose if you’re going, you shouldn’t go alone.” “Well, if anyone actually wanted to tag along and keep an eye on us,” Reeve said, “I wouldn’t have any way of stopping them.” Vincent narrowed his eyes, but Reeve just shrugged apologetically. Beside him, Cait Sith gave Vincent a thumbs up. Vincent sighed quietly behind his cowl, and stepped down from the fence to land lightly on the ground. “Good man! Thanks, Vince,” Cait said. “I’ve been tryin’ to convince the boss to bring someone along.” “And I’ve been reminding Cait that this is hardly the first trip we’ve made into the city on our own,” Reeve added. “And seeing as I’m the only one who didn’t have to fight Bahamut or worse today, I didn’t want to bother the others…but I am grateful for the assistance.”

Excerpt from an FF7 fic I’m working on: A light and lilting voice floated up from street level. “Nice to see the wee ones runnin’ around again, isn’t it, boss?” ”Very,” replied a deeper voice. “The adults, too. Even with all the cleanup from Bahamut, things seem a little cheerier.” A pause. “I think that was the last of them. Ready to go?” ”Whenever you are. Should get a shuffle on before it gets too dark…” Vincent watched silently from the rooftop as Reeve took a few more steps out onto the path, but he stopped again, looking around. Cait Sith looked around too, one gloved hand raised to his head to shield his ever-closed eyes. Vincent furrowed his brow, and then took a step off the rooftop. Man and cat startled simultaneously as Vincent alighted on the post of the ramshackle fence surrounding Edge. Both put their hands to their chest in shock, and both slumped in relief when they realized who had just dropped out of the sky in front of them. “Vince!” Cait’s ears, which had flattened against his head, flicked upwards as he peered at Vincent. “You gave us a fright, lad.” “You did,” Reeve admitted. “Hi. I thought you’d already left town.” “I will,” Vincent said. “Eventually. I thought you were at the bar.” “I was, and I’ll go back–eventually,” Reeve said with a small smile, “but I have business elsewhere first.” The destination of said business wasn’t hard to guess. “You want to visit the church.”
