Insufferable
I could be wrong, but the reason he does posh so well is because his parents both worked as servants.

It didn't leave him with a cosy "Downton Abbey" view of their employers, either.

Ues it does.
Flew into Milan last Saturday; had to show Irish passport because was entering Schengen but could use the automated passport gates, along with EEA citizens like the Swiss.

UK and USA passport holders had to go to the manned passport desk, the queue was MUCH slower.

Old man is completely right in this instance.

Yeah 2 stars are where the fair, but disappointed customers are.

Almost certainly

I have to shorten my sleeves, so maybe the buttons are too close to the cuff. I think that is still better though; buttons are less noticeable than shirt cuffs.

You can't blame people in other countries, even their leaders, for what Americans elected.

The Silence of The Lambs-Demme's movie is both more streamlined and deeper than Harris's book.

Absolutely true.
Don't forget though there are many, many people who possess neither.

There used to be a common phrase back when that book was written.."The Communist block". I am pretty sure that is what "C-block" refers to in Neuromancer. Russia still existed as a geographical location (and as one of the SSRs) in the USSR.

Just remembered the old pre-Elon used to inundate me with Ronaldo vs Messi posts- AWAYS pro Messi, never vice versa- despite my never ever interacting with anything close to the subject.

I ticked "sport" as an interest when I joined here but because it was predominantly US biased then I got a lot of posts like "McGinley will need luck in the draft if the Sparrows are gonna catch the Steers in the playoffs!"

Is there anywhere one can read the story behind FNB-even a thread on styleforum or anything? Landed on it once and it was extremely weird, even by forum standards.

I haven't seen that, but the actress you dub "worst that ever lived" is also in Maniac from around the same time and she's great in it.

How do you frame it differently than a younger guest? Genuinely curious.

Looks like Sam eventually said "corner" because Jack wasn't going to make any call without someone pushing him. He then double-checks with Jordie.

Oh it'll be packed so.

Hard to know from outside, but the impression Easterby gave during his tenure was one of having Emu as acting head coach while Rod Hull was on a sabbatical to take up the Lions role.

Do you think Ireland played the same way in 2024 as they did on 2025?

Longer kicks, kicking after two or three phases instead of multi-phase attacks, fewer, longer passes to get to the edge quick...the Ireland style changed dramatically from 2 years ago, just like Leinster did when Nienabar came in.
Look at what's happening on the pitch, not who's in the coaches box.
May 3, 2025 at 10:28 PM
Not mention how Ireland adopted the Neinabar system and fucked away the six nations.
