- to the crew and drops hints about her identity. she’s v awkward about it but they pick up on it bc ofc they do. nami especially bc she’s known from the beginning but she wanted to give zoro time. they all leave tiny shows of appreciation and god does sanji feel guilty, zoro doesn’t forgive-

she doesn’t tell her crew on until much later of course. her relationship w sanji especially is rocky,, haven’t figured out how i want to write their dynamic yet but there was definitely genuine hurt on zoros side initially. it’s only after robin joins the crew that she starts opening up-

- Zoros whole aversion to tashigi just makes SENSE. cuz she’s a walking, talking, breathing reminder of her last conversation w kuina. the whole “YOURE A MAN” thing is just a slap in the face for her and it makes her so so uncomfortable and until she eventually bursts.

-she thought it would betray her, that she was ‘giving up’ if she admitted or even acknowledge how she actually felt about herself. so she ignores it, drowns herself in that self hatred and uses ‘being a man’ to try and honor kuina existence. and oh my god TASHIGI
