I like a lot of things, but mostly pizza and good people
I can’t believe how bad Wicked For Good was compared to the first. How do you make something so beautiful and follow up with a meandering, incomprehensible mess. I don’t get it.

It’s wild the number of people who like Pluribus. It’s literally the manifestation of the problem with many modern shows. 5 episodes in and 90% of the show is filler and could have been conveyed in a fraction of the time allocated. Go back and watch the first episode of BB and compare.

It’s wild that Boris Johnson exited the UK from Europe, ruined the economy for the next decade, and just like… gets to live his life as if nothing happened.

I came on Bluesky for the first time in months and I’d say 60% of my feed was substantially more horrifying content than I ever saw on X. Like I follow like 5 people on here that are either friends or climate scientists, why am I getting a picture of a guys scrotum in my feed?

Does Trump not realize that our influence on the rest of the planet is what makes America as powerful as it is, and instituting a protectionist stance will destroy Americas power? I don’t think so - he is trying to take America out of the #1 spot

I’m trying to understand how republicans can say that we’ve been drawn into disastrous wars abroad, yet the only wars we’ve directly fought in the past 25 years are in Iraq and Afghanistan, and both of those wars were started by republicans. Also, they want the most powerful military, but for what?

It’s wild to me that advertising is everywhere and it’s SO bad. I’m regularly advertised for things that have nothing to do with me, and the rest of the time it’s for things I’ve already bought. Like who is this benefitting other than the people fleecing companies?

It’s incredible to me that in media, we always want the good guy to win but when it comes to our own lives we just let the bad guys walk all over us.

Congrats to President Trump for exiting the Paris agreement. You join Libya, Iran, and Yemen as the only countries outside the agreement. You’re in good company.

Anyone else wonder if Trump moved his inauguration indoors because he’s afraid?

I know I’m late to the party, but Horizon Forbidden West is the most gorgeous game I’ve ever seen.

Who knew being in proximity to fires but not directly impacted by fires could be so exhausting.

I cannot fathom what people impacted by the fires are going through. It’s horrific.

I am constantly befuddled how advertising is actually a useful and effective tool. I regularly get served ads for things that are TOTALLY irrelevant to me, and am at the point where I literally tune everything ad related out. I either don’t look or listen, or I mute or click away from other ads.

Deactivated my Twitter account finally. It’s become horrifying to be on that platform. It’s literally non stop posts from Elon, boosted conspiracy theories that he peddles, and right wing insanity. That platform is brain rot personified.

Disclaimer is one of the worst shows I’ve ever seen. The most contrived and unbelievable scripts. I am gobsmacked that Alfonso Cuaron had a hand in this

I like how Bluesky is the alternative to X and yet almost every follower or interaction I get is a spam bot or fake profile

When is the soul searching going to begin that we could have a HHS secretary who doesn’t believe in science, in the year 2024. Like Elon Musk thinks we’re going to be a multi planetary species and yet the most powerful country in the world is ruled by morons.

Opinion: Sega Genesis Is Way Better Than Sega Phil Collins' Solo Stuff
While there’s no denying that his music dominated the charts with pop hits and adult contemporary bops, there is an argument to be made that…

What does energy dominance mean in a post fossil fuel world? Is the US going to control the sun?

Biggest thing for me around the election - I also would love government reform and more efficiency. The problem is, I don’t trust anyone who’s involved - Trump or his sycophants - to do it in a way that’s beneficial to America or its allies, and doesn’t involve massive incompetency and corruption

I'm back here, just like many others.

Looking for connections on climate politics, social theory, critical thinking, science and tech, and everything related to the transition out of fossil fuels.

One thing that I think could help the country a lot is to get charismatic experts in important subjects to go on podcasts like Joe Rogan and talk facts about issues. Imagine if an economist went on the Rogan podcast and explained why Trumps plan hurts Americans in a way that’s accessible and engagin

I also really like how almost every post on my Bluesky timeline so far is about how cool libraries are, video games, and space photos
