I worked in a GameStop so many years ago I won't speak the number lol and I was treated as lesser for liking Dragon Age
It's never surprised me that people just assume a Dragon Age game is bad, I saw similar discourse during DAI's release. "It's oblivion but worse" was the opinion of my coworkers.

I hope there are advertisements directed to the highest voting demographic illustrating that his campaign is funded by the man taking their Medicare away....
I only see one ad personally but I hope it's just my algorithm. The rape kits are important, but most people don't care right now.

Lesser evil Paleo Puffs in Himalayan Salt. The puff itself is a rather plain (something I like) but it makes the salt stick out and it is so delightfully salty to boot, not over or underdone 🤌

I'm in a low point right now, I haven't been able to workout in weeks. But this reminded me that years ago what got me back in the gym after my accident was swimming and that would be a good place for me to start (again).

Sorry I was thinking more in terms of using footage of the game specifically to call out their gross opinions.
I think it would still be losing a battle unfortunately, they can claim their crud is just their opinion and "free speech" and yada yada.

Well they are likely protected by the Fair Use Act, so they are allowed to spew their vitriol. Plus a giant company going after a single creator would be a PR nightmare many people would side with the creator over the company on principle.

It got me so excited for Titan lore that's for sure. I was intrigued after Decent, but not like I am now after Hardings story line.

I'm not saying it doesn't matter by any means, just that I think it's possible to tell intimate personal stories regardless of the route they took.
I love what we have for the 4th, but I also mourn some of the neat possibilities. It's fun to talk about either way 😊

Yes and no, I think. It's impossible to know exactly how such a story would have panned out since it isn't what we received.
DA as always been great about showing us the people caught up in the big sweeping plots. The plots themselves (to me) become secondary to the people and their stories.

I agree it would be contentious/criticized but should story telling be limited because a loud minority online will complain about it?
Stories aren't going to please everyone, I personally think story tellers pandering to any one group out of fear would lead to a boring story.

I was so impressed with the siege of Weissupt mission and every mission... But that final act... There was so much crying. I had to pause and take deep breaths multiple times lol.
If I were to replay it I would need tissues, wine, ibuprofen, electrolytes, and a midwife.

Otherwise, since I wasn't there I can't say outside of media around the game being really weird in multiple ways likely didn't help anything.
Not that there wasnt justified articles, but there was crazy high praise and criticism that barely even spoke about the actual game itself.

with the last game being a cliffhanger left a lot of room for expectations to go wild.
I think a project changing dramatically 2x isn't great as someone who was a CM on a project for a team half of bioware's size (not game dev) I don't know how they did it twice.
