I did it last week, I cried for about half an hour when I first saw them.

I definitely agree with that (I migbt be a bit biased though!)

Watch out for Sulfites and other preservatives, but even with sulfites you can often over power it with extra yeast and a little extra care.

It turned out amazingly well!

I've actually done one with freshly dressed juice from a orchard and another with store bought juice (that I added a bottle of apple brandy to and a couple of cinnamon stick and a vanilla bean too)

I used this brand which is pretty common in grocery stores here

Ooohhh I've never done those before!! I've done a pyment, several cysers, a chocolate (that was pretty good except for the bottles from near the bottom of the carboy_, a ginger (after about 2 years) and a bunch of trads!! Good luck! I hope they turn out tasty!

Awesome!!!! Mead is so good; you just need to be patient and leave it along for a bit. After the first fermentation is done you're going to want to get an autosiphon to transfer it to another 1 gallon carboy and let it age for several months. Mead definitely needs it unlike most beers.
