Had this wild idea and I want to document it somewhere. My least fave part of the school year is the beginning because it’s so tedious teaching my students the basic protocols of my classroom. Where are the tissues? Where is the pencil sharpener? Where do I turn in papers?

Procedural crime shows from the 2000s and 2010s are increasingly soothing for me in these topsy turvy times. I love the predictability, the satisfaction of catching the baddie, and watching the chaos be controlled.
Currently watching CSI and Criminal Minds on repeat. What are your faves and why?

I’m not obsessively checking the local news websites for school closings tomorrow because we are under MANY weather advisories and warnings, watching neighboring districts canceling NOW, and wondering if/when my district will cancel. Nope. I’m not doing that AT ALL.

Out here just trying to practice radical acceptance for the next four years. You may judge me; fine. But in order to preserve my mental health, I am radically accepting that the US is horrible and I can’t change that, and I am choosing to focus on my very small sphere of influence.
