Took a break I’ll get back into it before the end of the year
I made it to chapter 6! Despite the slow pace due to dense lore I AM loving this book though I have a question thets been nagging at me
Atlanteans. Are we talking bout merpeople? Or more like Kida in Atlantis the lost empire?

I dislike the use of exclamation points and the fact that people die and tests are done off page
But I want to finish it I love it and hate it and am so mixed

I like Darien but also he sometimes says stuff or hold views that makes me want to stop reading
I don’t care about the history or the world building I think it’s throwing to much at is all at once
But I love the banter between the characters
The FMC both comes off as charming and immature

I DNFed this book many times, about four times tried it back when I had a Wordpress blog but I can’t recall what year
I have mixed feelings on it I loved it till my brain shut off and I realized I didn’t care

Honestly this book made me love Leo more, made me want to read other books to try and find more Leo like charaxters and made me what to write myself
It wasn’t perfect, I think I guessed no I DID guess the ending some how which I think made me like it more bc I expected it

I feel the pacing and placement of something’s coukd have worked better, I wanted more Leo, however I wanted more leo in the last book so moot point. I never liked Caspen after Leo was introduced I knew he was a better fit for Tem

I understand why people didn’t like it, why they thought it was worth one star the reviews were not cruel in that
But as someone who has read many books with many bad endings…rhis wasn’t it.
Yes it was bitter sweet but it was well done it fit well.

That being said Bella in twilight was way worse a FMC and book four was horrible comparing this to books I’ve given one star too or have highly disliked this doesn’t equal those books

I understand how people could be highly unhappy with this book, those feelings are valid I want more Leo but I felt the same way any time she was with Caspen in book one
