Willard Peterson's career focused on the study of Chinese history in the second half of the second millennium, focusing on the Ming 明 and Qing 清 empires. He joined Princeton University after a few years at Dartmouth College.

Sarah Allan is one of the most known names in early Chinese studies. Starting her career in London, she moved to Dartmouth until her retirement. She is currently affiliated with @ucberkeleyofficial.bsky.social
Her work is published in both English and Chinese (her Chinese name is 愛蘭)
