Plan on having several days to explore! I had a friend visit for a week last year and we barely did all the major stuff, including the Badlands and Devil’s Tower, which are only about an hour’s drive away from the Hills.

I most vehemently agree. Unfortunately, it’s got a cult of popularity around here that’s a little bit unhinged. I’d also wager it’s likely the only thing most people know about the Hills, & maybe Crazy Horse. I wanted to highlight the natural beauty here.

Thank you! I wanted people to see the natural beauty of the Black Hills, and convey the feeling you get here, of them being a very sacred place.

Oh, I’d want to put the descriptions on a separate page spread from the photos, or give a dust cover inner fold long enough to be a divider to let one hide the photos… so seeing people can choose to read the descriptions first and experiencing having to imagine something, or test their visualization

And I want to do braille poster size photo prints too.

Please let this be the motivation to actually settle on a passion to chase; and actually do it. To give me the energy to do something other than doomscrolling while binging YouTube. I need a creative outlet so bad right now.

Thank you! I’ve been in photographer’s heaven since I came up here. I’ve never actually tried the alt text descriptions before. It was a new and fun experience, and it’s triggered a creative idea.

Or maybe on the white background text description pages so as not to distort the image for seeing people. Or would white text on black background be okay? Printed in Large “Dislexie font” of course. And this would be a coffee table book, in size. Nice thick paper for the pages to hold the embossing.
