3. Their clothing design is pretty solid overall, I like the length and shape of the sleeves matching the shape of the bottom of the dress (tunic?) and the overall simplicity of it.
4. Their hair... may need some work. It's short, but maybe I can make it work better with a different style.

Moreover I just couldn't put it down! The only time I stopped reading was when my partner made me go grocery shopping, I couldn't stop blabbing his ear off about it in the middle of Aldi!!! It's a 10/10 for me!

I CRIED at the turtle scene and again when it was brought up at the end of the book.
The human "villain" character was so disturbing and I couldn't help but hate him. From the very beginning you could tell something was wrong with him.

When I started reading the structure looked so similar to Stephen King's Carrie, a book I love to death, it was such a pleasure to get to the acknowledgments section and learn that the author took direct inspiration from it!

Tarka is about a kobold girl who is at odds with her noble family in the Farsteppe city of Galefang. In her youthful rebellion she is seduced by a pirate, who betrays her, ending in the tragic death of her parents. She swears revenge, and won't rest until his entire fleet is drowned in the gulf.
