An artist trying to learn new things, including teaching myself to draw with my non-dominant left hand using Pokemon.
Advice I was given: think of it like a show or a movie, since they're both visual mediums, and write dialogue and action directions like a script. Translate that into 'shots' aka panels. Depending on the lengths of the arcs, divide different story parts into 'movies' or 'episodes.'

Oh! And it helped to separate out my 'study' drawing and my 'fun' drawing. Aside from reminding myself 'hey, you do actually like doing this', it was super motivating to see my 'fun' drawings improve as I internalized the studies and started doing better even when I wasn't focusing.

For me, the most important thing was to decide what I really wanted to do. Trying to do everything at once just ends in overload. I like character art, so I started with anatomy, then faces, then hair, etc, only moving on when I had a grasp (not a mastery, just the basics) of the step before.
