If you use the jet rains toolbox, it can install both versions, and it let's you choose which projects to open with which version. I don't wait now, just have both :-)

Why not offer a simple no-advert version for a tiny monthly fee and see how it goes?
Keep selling the sponsorships as well in new and funky ways that Aaron (not on bsky yet, tsk tsk) or @ianlandsman.com dream up :-)
