Annnnd my hope is that new, decentralized online community spaces will be developed, or already existing ones like Mastodon and Bluesky will become better designed and more popular, making FB more obsolete and allowing us to rebuild communities on social media sites that don’t benefit Zuck or Musk.

Which means he can use more AI, hire more people who wont protest whatever he wants to do, and streamline his company.

I saw this, too, but I think that’s actually giving Zuck too much credit. The best take I’ve seen on this whole meta situation is that Zuck probably just doesn’t want to deal with the internal disagreement that comes with having a diverse workforce. His choices weed out liberals at his company.
