I think the amount of money that you can get from being a right wing grifter has basically reached its saturation point(esp. as sports gambling and prediction markets target the same demographic of gullible people) so the only way to grow their revenue is to get a bigger slice of the shrinking pie

The entire tech industry is Goodheart’s Law’d(when a measure becomes a target it ceases to be a good measure) to death for over a decade. You don’t get a promotion at big tech by making reliable, maintainable and efficient software, you get it by making new shiny. So we get stuff nobody asked for

The fact that jobs aren’t magically becoming available after deportations like they had promised likely influences this. Maybe people will finally wake up and realize the billionaire class, not the migrant ice cream man, is why they can’t get a good job…. Maybe

People hating him isn’t the only reason, his cult loves him and only him so they just don’t show up when he’s not on the ballot. Republicans have underperformed every election since 2016 where Trump wasn’t on the ballot. The GOP being the Trump cult is a structural problem for them going forward

They did it in Japan too but the backlash wasn’t as severe it seems.

Though oddly has a very pro cyclist and public transportation message, probably not intentional

Correct but still manages to explain it in the grossest, least scientific way possible…

Because NVDIA understands the marketing value of FOMO. They’ve been going on for a while claiming how they can’t keep these things in stock and you better order soon or you won’t get one.

AI truly is the aesthetic of 21st century fascism.

That’s by design, all “reputable“ advertisers will only put in a bid on an ad auction if they know they can track you, if they can’t they won’t bid(or at least won’t bid very much) so the scammers will win and not spend much money.

but they massively overfitted to some bullshit benchmarks, that’s as good as being right isn’t it?
November 23, 2025 at 10:55 AM
Also just casually dropping news of massive nepotism and corruption on the same page, no biggie
November 21, 2025 at 2:16 PM
He’s consistent, he makes incorrect predictions all the time, like 2 years ago saying we were 2 years away from AGI or saying 90 percent of code would be AI in 6 months, 8 months ago. Not even close on any of those but since he’s never held accountable or even asked about it he keeps going.

It’s telling he was so sloppy and lazy with this stuff he used Gmail instead of hosting his own email server and domain…dude had money and it isn’t expensive.

Amazing how quickly these tech bros jettison any supposed “morals” they have the second they think they can create more unemployment. Maybe we shouldn’t be giving massive economic and political power to someone who’s claim ti fame is getting really lucky and screwing over partners.

5 years since the pandemic and they were so butthurt about being asked to endure such a minor inconvenience as wearing a mask in public that they are associating wearing a mask in public with being a criminal.
October 24, 2025 at 6:02 AM
And of course emissions. But tech bros are experts at externalizing all the costs, be it economic, environmental or social so it’s no wonder they like to pretend their ”solutions“ are more efficient.

Public transportation can be both enjoyable and efficient. Cycling/walking can also be both of those.

“Green” capitalism will stop at nothing to avoid getting People to just consume less
October 21, 2025 at 12:45 AM
Considering how often Trump insiders are rigging poly market it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s already been decided and white house insiders are fleecing the marks
October 20, 2025 at 10:39 AM
And they are going to “find” it because I can guarantee the “randomized” control trials will not be randomized at all. The volunteers are going to be people who already agree with their foregone conclusions and then will work backwards from that to “prove” them
