Definitely more of the zen than the applied. There’s some advice, but he’s not Norm. That said, it’s worth the read. Not sure it was worth the sticker price. But worth the read.

Nothing more than what I have - a double thick slab of Baltic birch ply with kreg metal legs so I can just get to work. Workbench is pretty much the same as my writing desk.

Maybe depends on the wood species. I've done 2 of Pure on live edge walnut. Really popped the depth.

This is how I do Rubio. Always works fine for me. I like two coats though, despite the name. Deeper patina. You?
