maybe that's what the paperwhite ones do? i'm not sure. mine is also nice and small, which i really like. super portable + feels nice. i do usually read paper books, not ebooks, so take all my opinions with the knowledge i don't use it that often. as for book recs, what genres do you like? (2/2)

i have an 8th generation kindle and it's pretty good, the refresh is a little clunky but that's not an issue for me. the only thing i wish it had is the ability to light up (softly, not like a touchscreen). i still have to use a flashlight when reading in a dark room, just like a regular book.
