How much of SETI's funding do you think comes from dramatic scenic shots at the start of Sci-Fi movies and television shows? Do a bunch of scientists just get together and make one really good stock footage per year, or do the film crews pay to film custom shots on site?

For something we use everyday, there are so few good ways to write about pants. Breeches? Sure, in fantasy. Trousers? Getting sillier. Pantaloons? Nobody's taking you seriously. You can get specific? Sure. Khaki pants. Cargo pants. No, all is pant.

I really want a Pokemon animated series that's nothing but battles. Advertised like a real sporting event, and the only dialogue is from a sportscaster.
The only story comes from 10-15 minute interviews with trainers and experts before and after the battles.

Not seen this one before #FungiFriends, think it’s Green Brittlegill, Russula aeruginia, found beneath Silver Birch. Caps of the mature specimens were very green, younger ones were paler. Stipe chalk white & tapering at base, gills white & crowded. Such a pretty mushroom 💚
