This seems to me the key element to this news story: Trump has to create an uber-loyal segment of the military. Loyalty to him, not to the Constitution. Otherwise all his paths to staying in power after 2029 look tricky.

Here is a data sheet from a current heat pump which shows good efficiency levels (COP ~4) from roughly 0deg outside to 35-40deg flow temperatures. No electrical heating required.

I am not a lawyer, and a Brit to boot, but I hadn't realised how slender were the constitutional obligations for the President to be bound by the law. I had to read Article 2 several times to find the relevant bit- blink and you miss it. If SCOTUS erodes that, I really think it is game over.

My second incidence in a few days of “AI has a way to go before it is reliable”. The AI definition completely misses the meaning I was looking for (prompted by the IHT on farms debate for context).
