I've always been fascinated by how people who latched onto Gabrielle through UFO or similar always tend to have no idea about Nick, and similarly his fans don't usually know about her career. Wonder when they were first mentioned together? I know he gets a passing mention on her This Is Your Life.

BBC1's Christmas night premiere in 1981 was Loophole, an Albert Finney/Martin Sheen bank heist film (25% on Rotten Tomatoes) that was only released in cinemas that February and legend has it ITV assumed was a codename to cover something huge when they saw the schedule.

Enjoying that the story is "it's coming back on a channel nobody watches that's completely changing to become a Dave copy, and we don't know if anyone from the BBC version is coming back".

Not just that, rare because the original pre-cert VHS release was impounded by James Anderton and Greater Manchester Police.

McCaskill had apparently been on the radio overnight shift and was stuck in Broadcasting House, though that doesn't explain why he looks like he spent the night standing outside.

Underrated part is how, on a tour of such wild 24 hour swings, this journey requires an extra day.

That Anthony H Loose Talk is on ScreenOcean and is extraordinary. The audience are pissed (in UK and US senses) and heckle everyone, Taylor, Sarler and some loud people attack Wilson over New Order's perceived Nazi imagery, and the programme ends mid-sentence.

First time I heard it was I think its premiere, when Rivron popped into Jonathan Ross' shortlived and much better than Radio 2 Sunday morning Virgin Radio show on the way to the video shoot and brought a copy with him.
