We've played well today
On and off the ball

There's been a few that played for both teams
Last direct transfer was Phil Chisnall in the 60s

Some of our fans are crazy. I mean apart from him being 27, massively inconsistent and we have miles better players than him. There hasn't been a transfer between United and Liverpool for over half a century

76 v Norwich was my first home game
First match I went to was an Everton one at Goodison (probably a couple of months before) they absolutely battered someone 4 or 5-0 but can't remember who it was

Borrowing a milk crate from the dairy/sweet shop on Rockfield Rd and standing on it at the front of the Anny Rd end (where the current away fans are) is one of my earliest memories of going to a reds game

My grandad used to take me as he was a blue
I would go there one week and he would take me to watch the reds the following week late 70s/very early 80s

Well that was gonna be my next point
Konate, Jones & Diaz I think will be in the last 2 years of their contracts in the summer
I think it's very tight with these SCR rules and FSG are probably being over cautious as well but it's defo a factor and a big one
December 2, 2024 at 5:43 PM
I personally think it's a big factor
Doesn't mean we can't get them all done but I suspect we won't be giving all 3 of them "what they want"
December 2, 2024 at 5:33 PM
Correct
There's unknown factors in this
Difference between Klopp and Slot wages
Thiago, Matip, Carvalho VDB wages off books transfers out
Chiesa in (and the keeper)
How much Revenue has increased

Plus Simon Hughes says Salah thinks he's the best in the world and wants his wages to reflect that
December 2, 2024 at 5:31 PM
UEFAs Squad Cost Ratio
So your wages, plus transfer fees, plus agents fees minus sales must be max 70% of your total Revenue
Look at that graph from 2022.....I think we are very close to that 70% level so don't have a lot of wriggle room
December 2, 2024 at 5:18 PM
I think the UEFA SCR are a major factor in this
We've lost some big earners Klopp & staff, plus Thiago & Matip and sold Carvalho & VDB..but we have brought in Slot and Chiesa
Here's Swiss Rambles view from 2023
