ok, yes and my point is that the algorithm that creates the synthetic data needs to have captured the relationships I aim to uncover in my research and I don't get how this should work...

I often hear people say that synthetic data is "the future" but always wonder: if I want to find new patterns in my empirical analysis, the data generating process of the synth data needs to have this pattern - and therefore now about the pattern. But then I don't need to study it. Confusing!

Same! The sheer number of different guys that want to help me get rich! quick! with their strategy!for free! is concerning and fascinating...I also wonder why they all have a Swabian Dialect...

Da is auf jeden Fall waste im Nullsummenspiel...glaube aber das ist gering im Vergleich zu z.B. Abrechnungsoptimierung im Krankenhaus.

Ich würds umdrehen: habe wir einen Vorteil von den vielen Kassen? Aktuell nicht weil alle ungefähr das gleiche anbieten. Anstelle von einer Reduzierung nur der Verwaltungskosten wegen (was vermutlich ein recht kleiner Effekt wäre) hätte ich gerne echten Wettbewerb, auch um Versorgungsinnovationen.
